Youth Theatre:
Youth Theatre is a sub-group of WADS, with CRB checked members of WADS Committee present for advice and responsibility. They report back to the main Committee for full support. Membership is therefore required and contact details of the Membership Secretary are given below.
Our Youth Theatre is open to all young people aged 10-16. We aim to encourage an interest in all aspects of the society, from treading the boards, to backstage; lighting and sound; costumes and directing. There is something to cater for every interest. Our Youth Theatre perform their own shows and participate in main WADS productions. We aim to showcase all styles of theatre and performance. The group keep contact for discussions with regular social meetings.
First Production:
“A CHARMED LIFE”
This was our first show, performed on stage at Westerham Hall in July 2011. It was written and directed by one of the Youth Theatre members and we were proud of it`s success, being very well received by the local community. We will continue to encourage such talent as well as exploring all scripts, from the classics to modern.
Summer 2012
We are delighted to announce that WADS Youth have been invited to take part in several key events at The National Trust property, Quebec House, Westerham, during the summer of 2012. This will be an exciting opportunity to develop pieces for them through workshops and research.

Future Plans:
We aim to have workshops on specific topics ranging from vocal coaching, stage fighting and movement, leading to development of confidence on the stage. We also plan to include theatre trips, to amateur and professional theatres.
Support:
Youth Theatre have the full support of the main committee but we also welcome support from families and friends to aid the them in their productions.
